I am going to say yes for this one. i seen a couple of G done this before and it came out nice.

You can always plasti-dip them first, then use the real paint on top to see how'd they look or if you like them, then peel it off and use the sanding, primer, real paint process e.t.c. to paint them. If you do do it, post pics!

idk what sandpaper, paint and clear coat you're buying that totals to over $100...

Na, not yet. I was going to use these as my winter wheels but I had already picked up a set of 17" ASA which I sprayed with the same exact HaterBeGone formula

I've painted a lot of wheels & always get asked if they are power coated,
Here is my car when they were matte TE37 bronze.


Here is gloss gunmetal. (Also new paintjob, slight color change I hated the soft infiniti paint so I now have lexus galaxy blue pearl with a custom mixed emerald mist with a I believe lexus clear coat)

Hey, which paint supplies did you use for that gloss gunmetal? I'm trying to do the same to my IP Coupe 18"s

I'll take a picture of the exact suplies for you in 10 min or so, I picked it all up at kragen (O'rileys), key isn't the paint it's the prep. I wrote my steps somewhere in this thread go back a page or 2.

HEY! i just found this threa, yea i painted my OEM rays, but i did it right and sanded it all down and fixed the rashed from last owner, body filler and all that, then painted it. you can look my my build thread to find pics.

The gun slips over the rattle can and it makes it have a more even spray. They are a few $'s but well worth it when you rattle can anything.

Do you use watercolors to paint a fence in your yard......?

Use the right paint for the application... the only correct application for spraypaint is on a "model" car.

BC/CC sprayed with an HVLP gun or powdercoating
