If prepped right & if you take ur time spray paint comes out great on wheels, not everyone wants to spend $150 per wheel to get the powdercoated, I change my wheels colors a lot so for me to pay to get the powdercoated wouldn't make sense.

Daymmnn, the gloss gun metal looks AWESOME! You think it'd look good on a DG coupe (I have same OEM 18s as you). Thanks for the pics of the supplies, gonna consider it now. Looks dirty!

Yeah try it out just make sure you prep really well or else the gloss won't come out as nice.

+1 for prep, even with a real paint job prep is most important. degrease, and scotch bright/ sand all areas and the hardest part to get to is most important, then spray with light even coats.

Heck, if you take your time, most people won't know the difference between pray paint and powdercoating.

I plan on doing my factory 18's up in either that same gunmetal or a dark graphite from Rustoleum.

The spray attachment dealie is a great idea. My fingers hurt after spraying for a while anyways. However for prep, I just use 3M scuff pads instead of sandpaper. They have worked well for me in the past.

I can't wait to try this on Monday since it'll be 65 degrees out and I'm off work! So, the gloss usually comes out better with clear right?
