Need some help on dropping my g

I am about to get some Eibach sportline springs, eibach sways, new bushings and was wondering what else I should do to improve suspension. I was thinking about replacing my shocks. If I should go that route what shocks and other things should i replacet? Also, does any one know an easy way of cleaning your engine bay?

If you want to "improve your suspension", get a full coilover set... Welp, since you already ****ed that up, you can get new shocks struts camber links/arms toe bolts

Depending on your drop, you may want to get underbody braces as well.

its a local guy who has the springs and sways so I have yet to make the purchase. How much better would coilovers be compared to the setup I am proposing?

The stiffness and ride height is adjustable with coilovers.

lets see.. 200 for springs, 500 for shocks, = 700

or .. megans racing coils for about the same. 700 .. adjustable height and I think dampening

or.. used set of better coils, bc, stance etc for about 700-900ish

or used set of even better coils, hks, bilstein, etc.. 900-1300ish

or new set of any of the above for even more $$$..

something like this...

500 for aftermarket shocks? That seems pricey

Believe it or not, not all coilovers are an improvement. Most of the sets going for under 2k new have horrible bound/rebound ratios.

The 2 piece spring and strut setup is the much better choice than the cheap crappy coilovers.

Thanks for all the input, so being tight on cash right now the spring and strut setup is looking good unless some really nice coil overs pop up in the market place. Where should I purchase the struts from? and do I need to replace my struts if I got coilovers?

Nope. A coilover system is already a shock/spring combo. But then your adjust the preload, height, dampening, etc on em already. Its just advised that you get camber arms/A-arms because with a drop comes camber unless you go aftermarket orrr unless you dont care about going through a set of tires in a year.

Look around, you can get struts for relatively cheap from our vendors. Tokico D-Specs would be the cheap way to go for performance, but they'll still run about $600 or so. Coilovers would be a one piece suspension, where the spring and strut are in a single assembly (even though the rears will still be two piece), as where your current suspension is a two piece where the spring and strut are two separate parts, so yes, you will need to replace the struts if you're installing coilovers. But what really makes coilovers "coilovers" is the adjustable ride height.

Why not get these? Are you purchasing new endlinks?

Look at it this way: Buying new springs, struts, sways, endlinks, and bushings as you plan to roughly equals out to the same amount of money you would spend on say... BC coils. Give or take some dollars. And you get the benefit of dampening control, height control etc.

I say be patient and wait it out until you have enough cash for coils. Best suspension decision you will ever make.
