Red face engine knocking, any help\ideas will be appreciated

Hi all, kind of new here. Anyway I want to make this short, I been researching for months reading and reading with no results. So my engine knocks but usually it starts knocking when its all warmed up. it feels like a miss fire but I'm not sure. here is what i know, its a 03 and its consuming oil very bad, it'll be dry before my next oil change if I'm not careful and its not leaking its burning. So the knocking started couple months ago. when inside the car it shakes the car each time it knocks when outside it sounds like a metal hitting a metal and when i put my hands on the exhaust each time it knocks, i feel a pressure coming out, that's why I'm thinking its a miss fire. it's not a constant knock, some days it just doesn't knock, it knocks when ever it wants too usually.

i checked the codes, it was giving me a knock sensor code so i changed that, I feel like i got more power but still knocks. So now I'm thinking about putting a oil catch can to stop the oil going into the plenum (there is a lot of oil there when i opened it) and changing the spark plugs. but besides these two i have no idea what else could be the problem.

if anybody had this problems or knows anything please give me a heads up so i have something to look for. sorry if i made this long

Agreed.. When I bought my car I had very similar issues.. Turned out to be my piston rings were blown. I'm in the process of replacing now. Itight be worth getting a professional opinion from a Nissan dealership. Bout 100 bucks but will save alot of diagnosing time. I wasted a good week troubleshooting before I said f it and took it to the dealer
