In my accident it was proven that the cause of my contact with the vehicle in front of me was caused by the impact of the car behind me and I got off scot-free. This, however required a court hearing in which testimony from the vehicle operator who was positioned in front of me confirmed me coming to a complete stop behind her before my vehicle was forced into hers. In your case it may be harder to prove that the cause of your impact was a result of the vehicle behind you making contact with your vehicle, but if so, that would get you off the chain with your insurance company for whomever you hit.

I'ts going to be a complex case but technically if you were shoved into the car in front of you..you shouldn't be liable, but not sure how all that is going to play out when all is said and done. Good thing like most have mentioned is that you are alright man. Good luck with everything, I've been there and things do get better bro.

I dont know when it might be settled, and regardless of what, my insurrance will likely go up, and i will still need to get a new car..

Also, none of us were ticketed, or asked our stories when the CHP came, they just basically wrote a report with all of our names/information, but did not write about who caused or etc. so i dont know how thats gonna play into effect

Thank you again for the input
No worries.

Thank you everyone, thought I'd update you as to the current status. So the the person from my insurance came to my house to inspect my car for damages and etc. I was hoping my car could still be saved and was on life support. But upon inspection, they told unfortunately my car is now labeled a total loss..flat lined completely. Thank god for insurance, because basically, I can either choose to give the G away for 17k, or attempt to fix and keep the G for 13k.. From what everyone told me, as much as I wanna fix it, I don't think it would be worth it given the year and value of my car. Surprisingly, my G was worth 3k more then stated in the KKB..

So what do you guys think I should do? Yesterday I looked at other G's to maybe purchase, but it just did not feel the same, so I'm basically going to move away from a G My options currently were either to purchase a 07+ 350z, or look into a 06+ IS 350. I get 17k, but am willing to put in more for a better car. Any suggestions from you guys would be greatly appreciated! and Thanks again for all the love and support! I had planned for my G to last long into my career, but sadly that could not happen..

I would get the 07+ 350. The HR motor is nice. Sorry about that tho, at least you weren't hurt. The bright side is you can get a new car now

I second the 07+ Z. The HR motor is incredible. Especially when you begin to mod. Plus you gain far superior handling compared to the G. The HRs have held their value a little better than the DE Zs have too.

the is350 and Z are 2 very different kinds of cars lol. I'd class a 07+ G Sedan around that area as a is350(which would cost more do doubt). If you don't need a back seat or haul people around, go for the Z
