2005 gauges on 2004/3?
If the odometer computer chip is on the gauge (which it has been) ... then swapping out the gauge would be illegal. It's tempting though. I'd love to get the 2005 gauge on my coupe. Looks great IMO.
IMHO, the Tach is on the wrong side now. I'll keep my '03 gauges, thank you very much. They look fine to me. What I would like to do however, is figure some way to add an oil pressure and a voltmeter to the array. The 6MT has the perfect spot for a gauge under the tach (where the 5AT has its transmission indicators). The BMW M3 puts a gauge there, Infiniti should have.

With that being said, aren't our guages electronic? I ask becaues, even on my pontiac, the odometer reading is stored in the ECU in non-volitile memory. (You can plug in an OBD-II scanner and read the odometer). I would think that is an OBD-II feature, but I'm not sure. I would think the guage, can read the correct mileage off the ECU.... But like I said, even if it couldn't you have option 1 as stated above.
I prefer the new set up, all the cars that I have owned have had RPM's on left. (except for my 280z). My '97 240 is the only nissan sports car that I know that has the RPM's on the left (and '05 G). It is all a matter of what you are used to.
I'm just glad they aren't like the Quest (center console speedometer)... someone should be fired for that one.
