CRC MAF Sensor and Throttle Cleaning Fluid....

Any feedback on this? Should I even bother? What's your experience....

I use the CRC QD(Quick Dry) electrical cleaner to clean my MAF sensors on all of my vehicles without any problems. I also use their Throttle Body cleaner spray on my Tacoma without any problems, but I haven't used it on my G35. It shouldn't cause a problem to use the Throttle body cleaner to clean your throttle body on our cars though.

Just make sure that when you clean your MAF sensor with the electrical cleaner spray that you do not touch the little wire inside the MAF sensor. That wire is very brittle and easy to break and it is not designed to be touched by anything. People often get themselves into trouble by trying to clean their MAF sensors in too aggressive of a fashion by scrubbing the wire inside the MAF sensor with Q-tips, and often times damage or break the wire.... and then end up having to replace the MAF sensor. Just spray it down, let it dry and reinstall.

The product that you spoke of a single product that you use for both your throttle body and MAF sensor or is it 2 separate products, one for cleaning each?

I just want to be clear for the OP that the stuff I was referring to in my earlier post is actually 2 separate products. I use one can of CRC stuff (I can't remember if it's just CRC Quick Dry Electrical Cleaner or if it's a specific Mass Airflow Sensor cleaner product) for cleaning my Mass Airflow Sensors, and I use a different product made by CRC which is specific for cleaning throttle bodies. The 2 products seem to be pretty different from one another in terms of chemical makeup. The stuff I use on my Mass airflow sensor dries very quickly and seems to be thinner and less corrosive than the Throttle Body cleaner spray. The 2 products also have a different odor, although I wouldn't recommend intentionally sniffing either of them.

I've used both the CRC maf sensor cleaner and the throttle body cleaner on my G with great results. Coincidentally I am due for another cleaning though. It's a hassle especially if you have a long tube intake but well worth it. You will notice improvement in throttle response and more stable idling right away.
