Would these be a better choice than GTI? or should i stick to buying a GTI ?[/QUOTE]

gti WOULD GIVE U BETTER MILAGE ONLY....

G35 is Something else. I would never buy a GTI... just not my style. A car says a lot a person's personality... if you really see urself in the GTI go fir it.

And yes those are better deals than the GTI

it's not about having a "high class" car. it's his 1st car, i'm guessing he's young/inexperienced and doesn't have a lot of money to spend. GTI is better suited for him, fwd w/short wheelbase = easier to drive & park and factory turbo = much more responsive to mods. GTI's are solid little cars.

He's young, meaning he wantz da betchez yo. Naw but foreal, GTI might treat him better... In this case, they're both great choices, and the GTI is probably better for saving money, but I still think, in the long run, a G35 is better. It's a timeless beauty, really.

It pays to scan AutoTrader out to about 300 miles to see what prices are like around you.
It's a good starting price. Trust me, I look them up every week.

I meant for a dealer. Most start at around 15k for that exact year/mileage. I know, it's crazy.

Did you ever consider buying a crappy $3-4K car for your first car?

I know it doesn't sound appealing, but when I was your age.... most of my friends crashed their first car, did something really stupid to do serious damage to it, or learned some lesson due to a mistake that they made while owning the car which resulted in less-than-desirable consequences for the vehicle. I crashed my first car too... although it was not my fault (t-boned in my drivers side door at an intersection by some drunk lady who was running straight through a red light @ 65 MPH at 6 AM while on my way to work).

You could always drive a beater for a year or 2 and then upgrade to something nicer.... plus your insurance would be a lot cheaper for a car that's not worth much, considering your age and lack of driving experience.

That is a really excellent post. He has a great point. And it will allow you to save more cash and maybe then you will be able to buy a new coupe then.

This is a g35 forum so I say buy a g35. Great car and if you can afford it, go for it. Don't let a bunch of strangers tell you otherwise. All you will get is differing opinions. Do what you think is best for you.

Kind of the point of him asking isn't it? To get opinions?

opinions are useless in this case. Kind of like, "do you like my headlights" or "what mod should I do to make my car look better". You will never have a full consensus answer. Just a bunch of random crap.
