How to make it quieter (all over)
This is for a 2005 G35x that is completely stock at this point.
I know I'm in the GREAT minority here, but I really have no interest in making the car sound like a performance car at all. I want it as quiet as possible whether you're in the front seats or back seats.
I don't want to lose any power, but is there different exhaust or intake(s) of any kind that would help quiet it down?
Also, specific areas to sound dampen? (and how?)
Thanks!

I figured Dynamat or similar, but where are the "optimal" spots to deaden in this particular car?
Also, I'm a complete n00b,
so maybe point me in the right direction for any suggestions. I have done a search and found some info.
Thanks so far!

Isn't a g35x a sedan?
The sedans have a near non-existent exhaust sound. idk what you're talking about.

Not my 05' Sport Sedan, it had (replaced stock with HKS) a spring loaded baffle in it that made it almost as loud at WOT as the HKS.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Mark you don't often have a brain fart on here, but daamn, major fail brah.
OP this is the coupe sub-forum so make sure you post in the sedan section in the future, but there's not much you can do to quiet the car except for replacing the muffler or layering a ton of Dynamat or something similar through out as mentioned above.
If you want quiet, be glad you didn't buy a coupe.
