New G35 owner to the club!

I just purchased a 2006 G35 Coupe with 41k miles. So far, it's an awesome ride and by far the most "luxurious" of any car I've owned. I have some plans such as new wheels (thinking black/polished lip), a slight drop, 5% window tint, new sound system, and maybe a CAI. Just trying to keep it clean.

Don't bother with a CAI unless you just want the sound. Be sure to browse the sub-sections before buying any mods.

I sincerely think you will regret the 5% tint. Entirely too dark, poor visibility and much unwanted attention from the police will make you hate having tint that is that dark. Everything else sounds good. Just have fun!

This. I have 15% tint and am glad I did not go any lower. If there are not street lights on the road I'm on, it is almost impossible to see out the side windows at night.

Is 5% referring to the amount of light that is let through - so it would be a really dark tint? In CA, the limit is 22% or something, so you should check the legal limits.

As mentioned before CAI really doesn't do much for our rides.
Your better off going with a z-tube, a lot less exp with less heat soak.
Is that a 6mt or auto?

Unfortunately its a AT. I wanted to buy a 6sp but the deal was just too good to pass up....

As far as the tint, I had a Chevy Colorado and Civic Si both with 5% tint. It's illegal here in Alabama but I didn't had any problems with those vehicles *knock on wood*

The CAI was honestly going to be purchased just for the sound...I've gone thru my whole performance modding phase and I'm pretty much done with that. I had a Toyota Corolla that I boosted (yes....I know) and it was honestly pretty quick but I literally tore 2 different trannys out due to the torque increase and stage 3 clutch lol
