just got it,car is great. when switching gears you can hear an lil click outside the car if you listen good....and when driving off tranny makes like an funny noise an winding noise when going into high rpm...can someone explain to me please ...or is this normal

 

Even brand new MT make funny noises, add thousands of miles and the noises get louder especially the throw out bearing. What might help, have your trans serviced (not the dealership) and replace the fluid with Red Line synthetic. That alone should quiet some noises and make it shift smoother and your trans will thank you!

It is what It is. I've had my 05 since new. I couldn't believe how bad the tranny noise was. I brought it back within 48hrs to the dealer and they told me ALL MAnual Transmissions sound like that. I didnt believe them so the service advisor took me to the showroom floor where they had 2 manuals and started em up.. Noisy as hell. Service guy said it's a race tranny, that's why.. Lol

 

thanks alot man - clutch is so light - i had an silver one an traded for the 05 red,the clutch in my silver one was heavy as **** an the fuel pump was high pressure this one is stock..the dealer said it was a brand new clutch put it..but it smells sometimes

 

Use amsoil gl4 MT fluid.
That got rid of most of my tranny noise's.

 

Only use Gl4 manaul transmission oil

No it dose not have any weird smell.I would say that's probably your clutch going out but you said that the dealer put in a new one.is the clutch slipping?

 

my 6mt w/55000 miles is absolutely quiet with Mobil 1 syn.

 

ook the dealer said its brand new clutch not to long ago .my car has 66 on itself...

Its not slipping or anything jsut smells a little bit after getting off the highway an my other g35 made noises but this is lil louder idk
