stupid question

ok i'm new and i did search but didnt see what i was looking for, or maybe was looking in the wrong place. i currently have a 05 6mt coupe on hold(waiting fir bank to get paper work started) when i test drove this car i noticed one thing that seamed odd. while at idle it had a little red light on the cluster that said "rev" now i have owned a few nissans/infinits but i've never seen that. again sorry for the noob question..thanks eric

That just tells I it's a rev up motor and it's also a shift light.. U can set it to stay on consistently or be a shift light...

The rev stays on all the time (stupid) but you can set where the little shift light (just below it) comes on by using the Odometer reset ****. I have mine set at 6800 rpm.

If it's a "Rev-Up", have them stipulate in the buyers agreement that if there is an oil consumption problem, that the deal is void or a new long lock will be installed.

^ this... And....print out the tsb and bring it to them.. Running the vin won't show anything... U hav to run an Oc test. Don't make a mistake and buy this car without a stipulation or warranty that will cover ur motor...

If it is out of the original warentee, no, they would not. Depends on how many miles are on it.

G35 Coupe 6MT
The word "REV" stays on all the time on the 05 6MT. The light below it blinks only when it's time to shift as per your settings. You set the rev limit by pressing the **** in the cluster (set mine at 4500 rpms).

Thats the limit of the power train warranty, unless you have the elite coverage.

F150 Performance Parts
Why is this retard spammer not banned yet? All his 5 posts are random and not related to the thread and he just advertises that f150 site.

Why the ***** would a g35 forum care for f150 parts. If you gonna spam/advertise, at least do it to a audience that can relate.
