Smoke and bruning smell..

Hey guys I just noticed that every time I drive my car when if done there is a smoke coming from the drivers side headlight (06 projector). It smells like burning rubber or plastic. Im not sure where it is coming from because I only see it coming from the front of the headlight.

If I try and smell for it, the smell gets stronger when I get closer to this part of the car. It smells like this hose or group of wires are burning.

Tried googling it but nothing. Any help will be great. Thanks!

I had the exact symptoms. I even first noticed it when their was smoke in front of the headlights too. It turns out it was a plastic bag melted to the exhaust. It's never coming off

Haha it was bad at first and I could smell it sitting inside. Now it's just a subtle smell when I get out of the car and it's not bothersome. Take a look at your exhaust and see it there's anything stuck on it.

Any other ideas as to why I'm getting this smoke?

Check to see if you have anything stuck to the radiator that might be melting and burning and pluming smoke out into the light thrown by the headlight.

How certain are you by the smell that it's a burning plastic smell?

What color is the smoke?

I'm pretty sure it's the smell of plastic or some rubber. The smoke looks clear.

Do you have smoke coming out of the exhaust tips? If so, you may have a blown head gasket. White or clear smoke typically means a blown head gasket. Blueish smoke typically means you are burning oil. Black smoke is caused by excess fuel entering the cylinder area, aka - A/F ratio running far too rich.

I'm having the same problem, a burning smell and occasionally light clear smoke. Check your valve cover where it meets the heads, see if there is any signs of oil leaking. The smoke/smell is most likely the oil leaking and then burning. Also check the spark plug boots to see if there is oil in any of those.
