Brakes Need 'Driver Community Feedback- Carbon Fiber Door Handles from sponsorship

I need honest feedback from the g35driver community on this one.

One of my sponsors offered to wrap my door handles in real carbon fiber while some other body work is getting done. should I do it, especially when it is permanent?

I am on the fence because I think it may look tacky and the side of the car doesnt have much carbon fiber that is viewable from a direct side angle.
CCW wheels and complete paint job are on the way before the car starts hitting shows.

*My Diamond Graphite Coupe is currently running:

Chargespeed CARBON FIBER (forget name, around exhaust area) rear bumper

VIS Slay CARBON FIBER HOOD w/ locking aerocatch

Hand laid CARBON FIBER roof cap, molded into sunroof area.

Asuka Designs CARBON FIBER trunk

Carbign Craft CARBON FIBER mirror covers

One-off CARBON FIBER splitter made for Top Secret front bumper

*on the way-CCW wheels with one-off carbon fiber center caps and possible Chargespeed carbon side skirts add-ons.

*AFTER BEING REAR-ENDED IN THIS G35 AND BREAKING MY NECK, I CAN AFFORD THE OPTIONS I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO*

Pictures of your car might help us visualize it a bit better

I'm not a fan of the carbon fiber look personally. It makes cars look like the owner ran out of money before making it to the paint shop.

I think a carbon fiber wrap on top of the existing door handles would be exceptionally RICE. The purpose of carbon fiber is to make a car lighter. How does adding carbon fiber on top of an existing functional part make the car lighter. This is the absolute definition of Race Inspired Cosmentic Enhancement.

To each their own. I've done things to my car that are likely to reduce the potential pool of buyers when it comes time to sell. If I were looking for a G to buy and someone had had the door handles wrapped in CF, I'd just shake my head and move on. There may be more acceptance of this type of mod where you live though, due to differences in local culture.

I completely agree, I come from a function over form background, sponsors/people hitting me paid for the carbon fiber. I never was a fan of carbon fiber until the car started getting a few pieces added here and there...eventually the theme changed from a horsepower/handling car to one that looks as good as it drives.

I feel thats too rice. All of the carbon does take a few pounds off, the splitter is functional and adds downforce, but the roof cap serves no real purpose.

I used to hate carbon fiber............until FAKE CARBON FIBER STARTED TO SHOW UP EVERYWHERE. thats rice to the extreme.

Thanks Dustin however this is the last piece I'm adding:

CF doors look horrible in my opinion and downright dangerous if the inner structurial bracing across the doors is removed.

Unless I go widebody, I don't see the real purpose. I'm not a fan of vents unless they are functional for discipating heat to the brakes. Only functional if you don't run inner fender well...not a fan.

If you really want it then go for it. I mean too much CF just don't seem safe to me.

If you're building a track car by adding all the c/f parts I can understand where you're headed, if not you're wasting your $$! Why make a poll asking this question without pic?
