Replacing 06+ bulbs

What is the best way to replace the 06+ bulbs. I searched and found a DIY but you would have to life the car, take out tire, reach from under fender to get it done. Why wouldn't there be an easier way to get to these bulbs?

Thanks all!

Some people just turn the wheel and undo the fender liner a bit. Small access and ive never tried it but might work. If not then take off dem wheelz son!

honestly, taking the entire light out is easier than reaching through the fender liner.

The fitment is too tight for you to easily get the bulbs in and out. the HID bulbs are very delicate so it's not really worth risking expensive bulbs for a shortcut that only takes a few extra minutes.

there's a DIY to remove the lights.

Unfortunately, its the nature of the beast. This past weekend I swapped out my fog lamps. What a PIA. I found the easiest way to access the headlight was to jack up the car and pull the tire and remove only the top clips of the inner splash gaurd. I didnt necessarily need to pull the whole cover off. I safely peeled it back and tucked it behind the shock spring to hold it while I worked. It sucks but simple once you go through it.

You can do it without pulling the tire but I found by pulling the tire you can have a direct line of sight to the the rear of the light housing. Plus by doing so you can squat in the wheel well and work with both hands..

I would also have some extra mushroom push clips handy. I broke one when trying to remove it.

Well said! That is how it should be done in my opinion, basically the easiest way

+1 to taking out the whole headlight.

I tried turning the wheel method and was no go. It's too tight in there to see anything and was hard doing it by feel.

to remove it you must remove the bumper cover correct?

Not sure what you're asking, you have to remove the bulbs to change them. The fender liner method is waaaay easier than taking out the whole headlight, I want what some of you guys are smoking..........

Yeah you have to remove the bumper to remove the headlights. That was more time consuming but the only way I could get to the driver side bulb without jacking up the car and removing the rim. If you take out the headlight make sure you have some painters tape to put on the fender or you WILL scratch it.
