I can understand you feeling bad about her injuries but it wasn't like you were driving recklessly. Was she wearing a seatbelt? That's usually the cause of severe injuries unless it's a high-speed collision or careless/reckless driving. The way it sounds is that you were both traveling the same direction at about the same speed so for her to get severe injuries she probably wasn't wearing her seatbelt and in that case you shouldn't feel any guilt.

Get an M3 if you have the money because it is a greaaaaaat car! If you don't wanna spend the extra i'd get another G35 can't go wrong with either.

She was wearing her seat belt, thank God! I believe the seat belt is the only thing that saved her life. She bounced off my car and into an embankment. She hit a tree at full speed.

I have Bridgestone S03s. The tire blew on the inside firewall. I have no idea why it blew.

Same thing happened to my s03's. Lemme guess you had about 10k on them right. It's the agressive camber angle on our cars that does it. Everyone should keep an eye out for excessive wear on the inside tread. If you don't correct the camber angle you should at least swap the tires left to right by taking them off the rims.

My blowout was at 80 and I pulled through ok. There were cars on either side of me. Mine was on 20's though so the car handeled pretty good I suppose. Anyway good to hear your ok at least.

I had 2.5k miles on the tires and there were was no visible wear the tires. Do you think the camber is putting excessive pressure on the tires? Did your blow from the inside or outside?

riotgear- sorry to hear about your mishap. Was your tires properly inflated? When
was the last time you checked tire pressure? Might've been the cause.

My 19" Volks are damaged and the entire passenger side of my car is smashed... there doesn't look to be any structural damage.

I don't want to keep this car... so I'm looking for a new one. I love the G35 and I would consider buying a 2005. However, I'm looking at other cars... specifically an M3... either a 2003 or a new one. Any recommendations/advice? Stay with the G35 or move onto something else?

Sorry bout the coupe, but i too got a little bored and went on to something serious, an M3!! I say its the ultimate step up, go for it But i still love G35's and i still have my sedan, its like the family car but i still drive it, my M isnt going anywhere until the spring though, this sucks

Approx. $40K for a nice low mile one.

The problem is, a lot of the earlier model years are affected by the engine failure
problem.

Check this link for more information:
http://members.roadfly.com/jason/m3engines.htm

So you could buy a brand new 2005 G35 with 300hp, or you could buy a used
M3 with 333hp, but risk engine failure, dealership warranty woes, and other
miscellaneous BMW break-down problems.
