In my experience and from what I've read, fuel injector cleaner is either useless or temporary. If the fuel injectors need cleaning you will need to have them done properly.

so i had my mechanic check it for vacuum leak, he couldnt find one. i cleaned the maf sensor, reset the ecu and its still the same now to better explain the noise it starts at 3k rpms and on. the noise sounds like theres marbles pinging around but when idle and i give it revs it doesnt happen. i know its not the heat shield. also like i said before its very sluggish when accelerating. someone please help its my dd and i want to get it fixed before i go back to college next month.

Try spraying carb cleaner or something similar around all gaskets/seal areas, etc. If there is an induction leak, the engine RPM will change when you hit the affected area. Sometimes a very small leak is not noticeable to the eye, yet spray will find it. Please be careful though spraying flammables near hot surfaces!

so i took my car to another mechanic, he couldn't find any error codes. he figured out that the noise was actually coming from underneath the drivers side, he lifted the car and said that his best guess is that the catalytic converter is clogged, so i went ahead and order a new exhaust system with test pipes.

If you just threw a new exhaust on, especially with test pipes, you really should have it tuned. You're going to be running lean, perhaps dangerously so.
