Unhappy 04 G35 coupe wont' start. Please help

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I hope I'm placing my post in right thread.

Car Info:
2004 G35 coupe.
63K miles

Yesterday, my car is vibrating/shaking when I stopped at stop sign. I drove 50 yards further and it's still vibrating/shaking. I thought I had flat tyre and pulled into nearby friend's parking area to inspect. No flat tyre. It still vibrating (not with same intensity) after parked also. I turn off the engine for few mins. But when I tried to turn on the engine it didn't start .

I don't have much knowledge about cars.
One of my friend is saying probably my battery died or the charge isn't enough to turn on the engine. But my parking lights, power windows everything works. So i'm confused whether the problem is battery or something else.

Can you guys please help or share your opinions on this matter or does anyone faced this problem?

Thanks everyone for taking time to read this!!

Recent work done on car:
I recently changed my drive belts due to squealing noise(I stay in colder places)

I would first check your battery terminals for corrosion

This could be caused by multiple different things. do you have a check engine light right now?

Thanks for quick reply. I will check on that. But is it normal that car vibrates during driving because of battery fault??

No. Your battery wouldn't cause that.

Check the belts you just replaced... Were they the right size?

Thanks..I'm checking on that. Surprised to know that belts can cause the problem in starting the engine. Can you please explain me in detail how belts would impact?(pardon for my less knowledge in cars)

the belts shouldnt prevent him from starting the car unless the alternator belt is loose/snapped off and the battery has completely drained down

Thanks everyone for the reply.

I checked the belts and I see they aren't slipped off. I don't know how tight is the alternator belt.

Also, I see AT check light is continuously blinking when my ignition key is in ON state and when I start the engine I hear only sound is coming from battery and don't hear sound from engine or other parts and don't see any parts are moving.

So, i'm thinking it might be the problem with battery. May be the battery doesn't have enough power to start the engine (but it doesn't explain why the car vibrated before it comes to halt )

Note: you guys may be thinking why I am asking so many questions here and request me to take it to service center and get it diagnosed

The reason i'm asking here is I don't trust service guys. 10 days ago only I replaced the belts and they charged $150 and that too he replaced non-OEM belts. I'm trying to find whether the problem is because of the belts or something else. If it is belts then I have to fight with the repair center to fix if not I will go to a dealer to fix this time(dealer service center is far from my place)

To rule out your battery, unplug it and take it up to autozone and have them do a free check. That will rule that out. Next, go back to that shop and have them go over the belts they replaced to make sure they put it to the right tension.

Finally, I took an appointment on friday(couldn' get early appointment due to holidays) at repair shop that replaced my belts.

Also, I and my friend tried to jumpstart but it didn't work.when I start the engine I only hear a click sound. No other sound coming from start motor or engine. My friend says mostly problem with ignition switch or spark plugs. Does anyone knows how much it will cost to replace ignition switch or spark plugs?
