NEED HELP!!! Frustrated!!

I have already search extensively throughout the forums but have not found an answer to my specific question. So, I have an '06 G coupe and my VDC, SLIP & BRAKE lights all come on together but randomly at different times very often. This has been going on for a few months now. Sometimes they're on for days and then at start up they'll turn off and then turn back on a few miles after. Point is, this means 1 of 2 things, I have a failed sensor or my brake pads are low. I just checked my brake pads and they certainly are used up but still have a good few thousand miles left on them to go. Which brings me to my question; do our cars' sensors throw a dash light when the brake pads get low to a certain level of usage to alert us to replace the brake pads? Or do I just simply have a failed sensor? I would appreciate your help. Thanks guys.

At your next opportunity (soon) have the error code checked out, that's where you'll find your answer and what to replace. Once you've replaced that sensor start looking for a new set of brake pads, you don't want to wait until they're eating your rotors...

Yeah, I already have the set of brake pads ready. I'm just waiting for my current ones to run out. Is there a certain OBDII or plug in I need for our cars? I have been wanting to buy one anyways for my own convenience. Or are all OBDII scanners the same?

This happened to me too... same car and model. My val sensor (i think thats what its called) was messed up and had to be replaced. They said the sensor had something to do with the traction control. Hope this helps

Thanks to everyone who has oven their input. I just need a few more pieces of information: What is the name/number of this sensor that I need? How much does it normally cost? Where can I acquire one besides the stealership?

Same thing happend to me, make sure ur negative battery terminal is on tight, it's pretty common for our cars battery terminals to wear and not hold on tight, if it's loose then flip it over and put it on until you have time to change ur terminal.
