2004 G35 Ignition switch clicks

Hi Everyone

i got a 04 g35 coupe with 119000 miles last month from a large dealership in LA. Paid 10k and cause im a fool, paid 2200 for 24 month extended warranty

so far so good, after a 1000 miles, with the following exceptions:

I just noticed some annoying ignition switch click when i start the car the last 5-6 times. The click lasts for like half a second right before the engine turns on. Any idea of what that could be? I read a post on here on how some guy changed his starter cause he felt the starter is about to give up. How do you know if you starter is almost ready to give up on you?? do think my situation could be a starter issue?

ohh..and there is another issue, but for some reason that doesnt bother me as much. EVERY time i start the car and drive for 20-30 feet after I reach a speed of over 15 miles, there is a dragging noise coming from the front. i cant tell where it comes from, sounds it comes(i hope) from the brakes. So if i drive for a minute at 5mph per hour after i start the car, i wont hear the noise, but after i accelerate, it comes up almost immediately. This "dragging" noise lasts for about 1 sec and i can hear it with the windows closed. It happens only once per every car start. That is, its not like it happens after every stop light -Just once every time after i start the car. Any idea what this might be.

Appreciate any input

Thanks

n3

Mine does the same thing. Almost sounds like an engine ping for a second or two after it starts

Your second issue is not a problem. It's your abs doing a self check after you hit about 10mph. All of our cars do that.
