Inaccurate Fuel Gauge

Over the past month or so, my fuel gauge says I'm completely empty when there's really 1/4 tank still left. I used to get to about 350-380 miles before I needed to fill up, and when I did, I needed to put about 18-19 gallons in. Now, when the warning light comes on, I'm at around 300 miles and I can only put about 15 gallons in. I'm still getting 21-22mpg like before, so the only thing that has changed is the fuel gauge. What's up with that?

I recently had the same exact experience. The light came on when I started up the car, then turned off a few miles later. I filled up and the meter read 14.9 gallons. Should I bring this up to the dealer because I already scheduled an appointment? Is there a fix for this problem?

This is a common problem with both the coupes and sedans...
