Hello guys first i love my g35 and i just installed the exhaust system, it sounds terrible and performance as pretty good, my neighborhoods hate the noise, and that keep me on the G spot with the cops, i want remove the noise without loosing the performance and good idea?

like noise reductor but without loosing the air flow.

 

what exhaust system did you install?

The HKS exhaust isn't loud, what other mods did you make to the system....test pipes/ART pipes? The HKS exhaust with OE cats isn't much louder than factory! Are all your neighbors in there 90s and grumpy?

Headers make very little difference in the sound of your exhaust! I can't believe if you only have headers and the HKS exhaust you're getting tickets. You're still running the OE cats? Cops in your areas should hear my exhaust with HKS/MotorDyne X-Pipe and HFCs, they go out of their minds.... And it sounds sooo sweet....Gary

So are you saying you have headers, test pipes to the HKS

 

No way you should be getting tickets with an HKS exhaust. Those things are dead quiet. (To me at least)

Headers won't increase volume much if at all.

Test pipes/ HFC's would be the same.

Either you have a hole somewhere in the exhaust or your neighbors are over 100 years old and luckily, they should be dead soon.

 

im going to recheck the exhaust point to point, maybe broken pipe...

 

Here's your answer Roy, put your OE cats back on and the cops won't know you're around! If you give us all the info in the beginning your answers will come quicker. I knew if you were running cats the cops wouldn't be bothering you. Headers and the HKS system are hardly noticeable until you have your foot in it...Gary

hks with test pipes are pretty loud, i have a friend with a Z who did just that set up and its dam loud, not OMFG WTF was that loud but pretty annoying if he drove by even under 75% throttle.
