So my 05 6MT has the oil consumption!!!

well i think it does... i changed my coupes oil 2 nights ago to find out there was only 1quart of oil in there. about a month ago the car started making noises that sounded like they were coming from the tranny so we thought throwout bearing was going out. well we had to wait a few weeks to replace it, once we did the noises were still there and last week they got louder and i noticed the oil light started to just flash randomly while driving. and we changed the oil as soon as we could with as little driving as we could. now im here after the oil change and the car seems to be doing fine. whats weird is i never saw any white smoke while driving. idk what to do car has no warranty and it might be too expensive to fix.

Should i put the car for sale? should i trade it for a 5AT?

Thanks,
-Wes

By the time that oil light went off, you very well may have starved your engine. Morally I wouldn't do it, but at this point you're probably best off getting rid of the car.

If I was in your position, I would drive it with a few quarts in the trunk until you have get a new motor. Re building at this point would probably end up costing more than a new motor.

Lol, sure trade it for an auto. I have no idea how you guys can take your self seriously driving any G with the bish stick. Oh well different folks different strokes.

Good Luck with this one Wes! Roll in and buy a 30 day warranty, next day go back and say, "Oh buy the way I need a new engine!"

If I remember right, I believe his mom drives his 6mt Coupe now since he bought the infamous G Sedan.

Keep driving it and change oil every 2500 miles before oil breaks down and consumption rate increases. Also when the sh*T blows then just pick up a stock USED rev-up motor for $900-$1100 and drop it in and continue chugging along. Much cheaper financially then trading it in and why the F*Ck even ask about trading it in for auto....

Don't wanna threadjack this.. But how many oil quarts does the rev-up engine take, 4.5 and 5 with filter? Bought the ride a couple of months ago and didn't perform an oil change yet.
