I wouldn't go with a set like that, way too expensive for what one can of engine enamel can cover. I bought 1 can of duplicolor blue engine enamel and painted all 4 calipers no problem and spent $5. Just jack the car up enough to get the wheels off, lay an old sheet across your car and cover up your rotors and paint your calipers while they're still attached to the car, just remove your brake pads first of course. Real easy, it'll take you 30 minutes.

I only smoked over what was red, but that was personal preference.

Haha, sometime next this week I'm gonna get 5% all around. I just don't know if leaving the reverse light untouched would look better. Only an hour till I start

i had 5% all around on my old car. In between getting pulled over weekly for it.. and not being able to see at night, it was still pointless. I would never get it again. Darkest I would go is 20%. I have 35% all around right now, and I love it.

After a certain percentage, the tint becomes so dark that it actually loses the ability to reject heat, and it starts absorbing the heat. My 5% all around made my car a freaking hot box even on cool days..

As far as tails, it depends how dark you're going, but since I only plan on mildly smoking my tail lights to avoid being pulled over, i'm going to smoke the reverse lights on the JDM tails anyway.

If your G is black, the white really pops and looks pretty cool. As for tint, I've been pulled over too much even at 20%. Maybe ill look into 35% if you like it that much. Haven't tinted my G yet.

I do love my 35%, I'd rather have 20% If i could get away with it, but I can't. VA is too **** about their laws. 35% is perfect for heat rejection, and being able avoid being pulled over. When the sun starts to set, you can't see in. During the day all you can see is the outline of the body, they can't make out your face. Which I'm okay with. At night, nadda.

and? I live in VA and had 5%. My point was that since that most states don't allow 20% let alone 5%, being bothered by the cops all the time isn't worth it. For example, as you know VA laws are 50% front, 35% rear. 5% is MUCH darker than 50% obviously. Most states have a +/- threshold of when they actually care enough to pull you over. where i am, 35% is their lowest. I haven't been bothered once. i had 15% and got bothered quite a lot, went down to 5% and it was ridiculous. If you don't have that many police in your area, you have nothing to worry about, but i do.

my other point was that the darker you go, the more of the "heat rejection" factor you lose.

Thanks for asking Jax!

I was only able to do my tails due to something unexpected coming up. and i must say, I love the way they look. however, i think i may have done something wrong, or something went wrong.

when i was doing my tails, and using the vht to paint, i did what u are supposed to, back and forth, light coats. once i was done with the first coat, i noticed the paint was coming out "spotty" and it wasn't just a solid black if that makes sense. from about a foot away, you cant notice whatsoever, but if u get up close, u will notice that the paint is pretty spotty and not solid. ill have pics in a bit since i just woke up and dont wanna get up from bed yet so u guys can get a better idea. what could be the cause of this?

p.s i painted over the reverse lights :P
