Window Tint Cracked
Window Tint Cracked
Hello,
I washed my car yesterday (30° weather but took the opportunity due to sunlight, and it's my daily so it saw a lot of snow) and near completion, I noticed a little crack in my window tinting. After snapping the picture, I noticed a smaller, similar crack just a few inches to the left (not in picture).

The tint job is only a few months old. I do have a lifetime warranty on it (but good luck to me finding receipt) but I'm actually just wondering if the small crack won't lead into anything ugly. If it just stays like this, I'll leave it be, but if y'all think I need to take care of it, should I call for a search party for my receipt?
Please and thank you.

I'd get it checked, cold and heat will expand and contract it, making it spread.
Also, you should be in their system, they should have permanent records of customers as any business will.
Under the car's VIN, tag, your last name, etc.
Call them.

Wow, I've never seen that happen before. Then again, I live in FL too. lol I'd definetly take it back to the place you had it done, especially if it's only been a few months. Odds are they'll remember you, even if you can't find the receipt.
Yeah, like jstudrawa said, the heat will make it contract and expand. Air might seep into the crack as well and cause bubbles which will eventually get bigger and bigger. You should go get it checked out. Good luck!
