I get good mileage out of my Pilots, but then I don't drive very aggressively like some do.
They are a good sticky tire that will wear faster than a harder tire, but that's the price for performance.

I have 17's with the Goodyear RSAs. After only 6Thousand miles, my rears were 2/3 worn.(Showing on the middle treads only) I complained to the dealer as I am a conservative driver and as "good will" he replaced them at no cost to me. I then went back to the original dealership I purchased from and they replaced my front two tires due to an aggressive belt on one tire. I now keep my rear tire pressures at 2-3 lbs under the factory specs.(for fear of overinflation causing the middle tread wear). I now have 8 Thousand miles with 4 new tires for free. I would have preferred the Pilots, but the "price" was right. When replacement time comes I will go for the Pilots as I've been told they last longer and handle much better.

The freeway thing helps alot. I had Z Rated treads on my A4 and drove mostly highway and ended up with 35,000 miles!

I have 26k on my tires and I feel like I still have about 5k left on them. I'll probably switch them out before though as it isn't too safe to drive on tires with low tread.

I have 14K on my coupe and the rear Michelin's are dead. I love the tires but short life span. Must be too much aggro driving.

Hi Mi Michelins

I replaced my Pilot Sports at 33K. Still on the original Brembo brake pads. I do about 50% freeway driving. Not bad?

well the more performance(dry grip) the tire has usually the shorter the life span.. so if u have like all seasons or the likes they will last much longer... and of course as people mentioned driving style and etc...

Bremboboy,

I think i found out which one you have, it seems to be the same one as i originally had on my 03 G35C (245/44ZR18 96W for the rears). I actually bought some Nexen 3000 the other day hopefully i'll get good mileage out of these ones.

Cactus,

Wouldn't freeway miles wear out your tires faster than city driving, due to the higher speed?

Gabe
