So I am halfway down swapping in my 06 headlights... the lights work, everything works, but the passenger side headlight has smoke coming from it, from the ballast, plus its REALLY loud, clicking when I turn on, or go from highbeam to lowbeam.


Any ideads. Ive disconnected everythign again and going to swap in my old ballasts, but I want to know if there is another problem I should look at before I go for a drive or anything lol.

 

I see you are from Canada. Are the 06+ headlights from the U.S.? And if so, have you done any re-wiring on them?

 

I have an 05 with 06 lights and notice a clicking sound when turning on high beam as well

 

There will be an audible click as the solenoid activates. But it shouldn't be super loud.

 

Nevermind. Fixed it. had a wire bare.

Lol...the good ol bare wire scenario...coulda been bad!
