How much gas do I have when the low fuel light turns on? 2 gallons? If so, that gives me about 30 miles. I'll be traveling across country and since I have to pick and choose (and guess) which station will have quality gas, I just want to know how much further I can drive after the light comes on...any thoughts?

 

3 gallons I believe

 

I've found there to be about 3.5 gal left. I know there's 70 miles left when the light comes on.

you will probably find that each car is different, but who knows... just be safe and fill up before the light comes on...

 

It usually takes 15-16 gallons to fill her up, once the gas light comes on.

 

That's what I have found, don't we have a 20 gal. tank? That's an awful lot of caution.

 

Just had the light come on for 1mile and I filled up 16.5Gal

 

I believe our tanks are 17g ... I try to rely on my navi, but it fluctuates a bit based on my driving, ughgh it's a pain when fuel gets low hehe

 

Mine comes on early when I can only put 16 gallons back in.
They seem to vary from car to car. You'll have to test your G.

 

we have 20 gallon tanks.. and mine comes on at about 17 gallons used up, 3 left over.. some people feel it's a little over cautions, but i believe better safe than sorry, stranded on the side of the road
