Well... not really. I knew when I bought the car that it was a less-than-brilliant financial decision but when I got my first bonus this summer I pulled a Homer Simpson "WOOHOO WOO WOO WOOHOOO!!!" I keep my shoes longer than I keep my cars. I get a car thinking I'm going to keep it forever, baby the heck out of it knowing that I'll change my mind and sell it in 6 months, and I did just that. I was a finance major and still work in finance so it's not like I didn't know what I was getting into, I knew this was coming.

Any takers on the car?

Well I'm due for some changes as well. Since getting the G and a leased Outlander for miss sixfive, we both drive a mile to the train - sometimes together - to get to work. It's just an outlander but at 380 a mo plus the larger mo pmt pon the G (not a lease) we pay over 1000 bucks to own all that hardware, including insurance and only drive but a few miles a week.

I don't need the G anymore either but once paid off it will have so few miles and will be a great car for years if left undriven during my weeks. I find that is pays at this point to keep it as I love my G and it will cost a couple grand to get rid of it. People are buying my car for 25k used at a dealer. The coupe is a much more demanded car apparently. It's killing me but I can't get rid of something I love and lose money at the same time to then have a what? Another car payment for a crap car. If i knew then what I know now I would have gotten a avalon, prius or something worse. I guess thank god i didn't know! Also the mods make it tough to walk away from and all the TLC. But those are SUNK costs as we like to call them and should be ignored in any analysis.
