busy weekend

well I got the car out of storage this weekend, installed my new brakes, painted the calipers, cleaned the rims, installed LED's, and tinted corners. Now I hope the weather holds out cause drving my tahoe is killing me in gas!

Beautiful Coupe!

Aren't our gas prices wonderful? Oil companys always have an excuse for jacking up prices, but we know it's about greed! We get most of our crude from Mexico, what goes on in Iran shouldn't hurt us to this degree....

Tell your boy Obama to let that pipeline from Canada come down here instead of to China... That'll help the gas prices but it won't be immediate and we need to DRILL DRILL DRILL!!!!

OP, nice work. Where'd you get you LEDs from?

The LED's are the stage two kit from diode dinamics. I went white all around and blues in the doors. They are plenty bright but allready wish I would have done the stage three kit. Just remember on install they are diodes, which is a one way electrical check valve and can only be installed one way. I put the first one in and it didnt work I was pissed then I was like hmm I wonder LOL. Glad I thought about it before I bitched about them not working.

Does the Tahoe really cost more to drive? I get 16.7mpg on premium and my Tundra gets 17.3mpg on regular. My G almost costs as much to drive as my old '08 Sierra 2500.

Snowtrax. Wtf? How are you not getting better then 17 mpg? I get 16.5 in the Tahoe and over 30 in the G. And I drive over 100 miles a day so yes it cost me a ton to drive my Tahoe.

That's about what I'm getting to and from work. Although driving around DT Charleston is a different story.

Yea I drive very aware of MPG. I try to avoid pressing my brake peddle for any reason, I accelerate moderatly agresive up to speed and use Cruise regularly. I hardly every use 5th gear and skip shift from 4 to 6 as i am allready doing over 60. I would assume i would average around 25 or so. I'll let you know once the weather gets better.
