Car Dies~Help !!~

I was driving and my car went into a "limp mode" style. All lights were on, slip and other dashboard warnings. Engine still running, but was idling. Gas would not make a difference, engine would just idle.

How can I trouble shoot this problem?

I am under the assumption it is an electrical thing?

Thanks for any help!!!

Possible the throttle cable somehow came off, but I'm not sure what would 1) cause that, and 2) what other results that would give you other than the obvious 'not being able to produce any rpms other than idle while pressing the gas pedal'.

To fix the issue I placed the car in park and then turned it off and back on. This makes me think that it is something electrical.

would the Throttlebody cause the car to go limp and all of the warning lights to turn on?

And if it were bad wouldn't I get the same problem 100% of the time?

Thanks

ok thank you for the help.

I got the service engine codes back and they say that the camshaft sensor is bad. Im assuming the broken camshaft sensor forces the computer to not allow the car to start.
So not the throttle body.. But thanks for the input

Yea sounds like you need to replace your camshaft sensors. Also it helps to clean your throttle body and air filter from time to time.
