g35 coupe spring setups

I've searched and searched but I'm looking for the thread with pics of different lowering springs on g35 coupes. Just pics with what springs and shocks are on the car. I don't need spring rates as that is on another very detailed thread. Somebody help me out.

spring setups

Hi, thanks but that is the first thread that I checked out. It doesn't have too many pics though. I did find one but it only has tein s and h techs. I'm going to put tein s techs on my front but leave the rear with the existing sport springs. The spring rate is better than the s techs. My back sits lower than my front or atleast looks that way with 275 35 on 19x9.5.

Spring rates are designed to work togeather, Tein spends thousands of hours testing making sure they do. Just use the S-Techs front and rear, you'll be glad you did as soon as you buy/install a complete SPL camber kit too....don't forget the 4 wheel alignment!

I'm in north nj and there is a shop that installs a lot of springs for various tuner shops. I like the higher rear spring rates of the the sport package more than the 274 of the teins. In reading through a hundred posts I've noticed people think the tears are too soft. 350z teins are another way to go but the drop in the rear is too much for my liking. The spring shop I mentioned earlier also said that they've installed just fronts on many bmw's because they sit a little lower in the rear as well for the sport package equipped cars. I'm going to get an alignment done and then go back after 30 days and get another one done. They'll do the other one for free.

That is probably going to look retarded. I see what your saying with the spring rates, but I'm assuming you have at least an inch of tire gap with your rear setup and the S-techs will drop the fender to where there's really no gap in the front.

Why don't you just go with 350z h techs and do the rear spring mount mod? I have hardly any gap up front. I haven't done the spring mount mod but if I did there would be a lot less gap out back. They are stiff springs too. That would be better then running two different springs.

The 350z H Techs have a barely noticeable drop in the rear for our G's. You're lookin at maybe 1/4-1/2" drop in the rear...tops. Most people actually do a spring mount mod (cut the rubber mount in half) in order to get a more even drop front to back because it is so minimal.

Why would he do the spring mount mod? He said he thinks the springs alone are too much of a drop in the rear....the mount mod is only going to make it even lower.

He was talking s tech and I'm talking h tech. That's why.

350z s-techs.

More drop and comparable spring rates to oem revised springs.

Don't do that. You'll have bad understeer. The rear needs to roll near as much as the front or it'll just push the front of the car.
