Unhappy Totaled my baby what should i do

Well this morning i totaled my baby ... 03 OB Coupe . I was in the city of towson going home from my friends house and there was either crazy bumps in the road or some thing happened with my Drive train ( Its been slipping and acting weird ) or Suspension as i accelerated from the red light and i fishtailed into a phone pole...

I know for a fact when the insurance adjuster goes to look at it tomorrow hes gonna total her...

What should do , I know people keep there cars after they get in a accident and use them for parts or part them out , How does that work ?

Blue book on my car is 16K So i can either get a little less or maybe more because i have all my aftermarket parts covered on my policy .

Also what are some other cars i could get for around that price range , I just want to know my options because once i get my check i need to find a Car ASAP . I want some thing i can mod and make look sexy and i want to stay with leather and all.

Also heres a picture of the damage done to my car , Im sure the LSD is screwed , Both axles , Wheels done , Suspension , The whole trunk including inside has to be replaced and possibly the Drive Train .

I would like some opinions my friends !

Yeah. That doesn't add up. From a red light you fishtailed into a poll? You must have been real hard on the gas.

Yeah i was a little hard on the gas , Nothing to serious though my transmission/clutch has been acting weird after i changed the fluid and replaced the clutch so for it to not almost stall i have to put my foot into it a little.

When your insurance adjuster looks at the car, if they total it they give you a date when they'll send a tow truck to pick the car up. You also have the option to buy the car back from the insurance company, you should only do this if you know that you can make up the price they're asking for the car when you sell the parts. For example, a couple of months ago my wife totalled a 2001 Chrysler 300M I had, the adjustment from Geico came in, told me they'll give me $6,800 for the car and that I could keep it for $700, meaning that the total Geico would give me if I kept the car was $6,100. One reason insurance companies do this is so they don't have to deal with titles and selling your car at an auction later.
