Please help! Squeaking noise when decelerating is driving me crazy!

I've been searching for a few hours and couldn't find a clear answer. Pretty much whenever I'm slowing down (in gear but not hitting gas or brakes) I hear this high-pitched noise that seems to be coming from under the car (sounds very much like brakes squeaking). If I press in the clutch the sound will carry on for a fraction of a second and then immediately stops.

More or less I hear it any time that I'm in gear but not hitting the gas (in 1st/2nd/3rd), if I hit the gas it goes away and if I press in the clutch it goes away. Any idea of what this may be?

The frequency of the noise does not fluctuate, and it doesn't do it ALL the time but I'd say 90%. I recently got new brake pads, new clutch/flywheel, headers, exhaust, and turbo but I'm pretty sure I could hear it even before I got all that done.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mine does the same thing. It is driving me freaking nuts also. I haven't been able to find anything about it either. I also had a new clutch and flywheel put in, I had the JWT clutch and flywheel installed, it didn't do it for the first 6 months or so....maybe I didn't notice it until recently though. But if I push in just a little bit on the clutch pedal it will stop. If I let out, it will start again. I also had a chrome moly pilot bushing, maybe. I am not sure if they did not grease it well or what. I am going to have to take it in soon for service b/c I am at 55300 miles.

Weird mine has 54xxx miles, I wonder if it's common? The only possibility I've found researching is the rear axle nut, someone said it migh need retorquing. The noise almost sounds like a tone more than a squeak, but it's still driving me nuts. I'm gonna let forged check it out and ill let you know if they figure out what it is.

So, since no one is answering here, I found this on 350z driver. I am going to try this today or tomorrow. I will let you know what happens.

That's definitely not the same problem that I'm having.

If it is like you described, I think it is. I even had my kid start my car while it was up on jacks and sure enough, the squeak was coming from the tranny.

Mine is like if I am driving down the road and let my foot off of the gas, it is a constant squeak. I can push down on the clutch pedal just a little and the noise will go away. If I let up it may not start right up, but it will start back up again. It makes me insane, especially when I am in the city, I hear it echo off the buildings. I didn't get to try the lube yesterday....my son tried to hook up HID headlights on my riding mower and shorted the whole electrical system....now I guess that is one more thing I have to fix.

I was having a very similar issue I could hear a noise/rattle upon deceleration but once I pushed the clutch in the noise would stop.
But it wasn't a squeaking noise is was more like a rattle.
Not to freak anyone out but it ended up being the oil consumtion issue.
It only happened when my engine had sucked down 2-3 quarts of oil, dealership is fixing it under warranty as I speak.

is the noise like almost a hissing sound? do you have test pipes?

my car at exactly 2300rpms when on it way down with no gas makes a hissing/squealing noise. it is from my test pipes... many ppl experience this issue and to my knowledge (for my problem) their is no real solution.
