3-5 HP worth it if it's actually gained. Power is power. Now if you actually gain that from this mod is another story/variable.

I took this concept and paired it with my stillen intake. No tube but a LARGER hole and a funnel cut shorter that just goes around the hole. On the highway my cars SCREAMS and on highways pulls i can tell a differnce that it pulls stronger.

3-5 hp is just fine with me. If just for the fact that i gained power, had fun modding my car (since thats why were all on here anyway lol, and brings a huge smile on my face when i hear that intake roar)

Does the 350z airbox just drop right into a G?

^ I can second Sean's intake, its something that definitely makes a difference and will probably be the last intake you get/need on your NA motor.

I don't think I have ever seen a case of that. I personally, didn't have a check engine light either. If your still concerned, you should perform the ECU reset and the idle air re-learn. Its not needed but won't harm you either. Though you might see a temporary drop in MPG for a while since the car is re-adapting and you might have a case of lead foot for a while too.

Enjoy!

The sound is nicer, you might or might not notice it since the car is new to you. Its not anything drastic in my opinion atleast. It roars a lot more at WOT though.

Consider buying one used to save some money, easy to find here in the marketplace or at my350z. Extra money to feed your mod bug then. Oh and if you get a chance, find the intake sticky with all the dyno results, it was the most helpful thread I read about intakes ever.

Avg. Price for ztube is 40-50 used, or the stillen ztube is about 65 shipped from concept z.

I personally like the stillen because it looks less bulky and doesn have any type of silencers at all.

KNN is 34 brand new shipped from amazon. its usually 20-25 used. I would buy that new, even though you can wash/clean teh used one. its just nicer.

So thats 65 + 34 = 99

I personally would prefer buying from concept z/ amazon since they seem more reputable and will have better customer service. You can also pm some vendors here for better prices on either items, especially the knn. I believe i saw it for 30 shipped somewhere.

I dislike running knn filters, but you'll find that's more of opinion based around here. I like dry cotton filters, they aren't washable generally but seem less prone to damaging the maf sensor due to the oil in knn etc.

Ya the one on ebay was a stillen but it didnt come with the couplers but i can use my stock ones i think. And im not stuck on k&n just from what ive read its best to pair the k&n with the ztube. i would rather have an oil free filter myself because something just doesnt feel right about cleaning a filter and putting it back in (might be just me) but i feel like u cant really completely clean a filter to that of a new one

The cleaning process does work, there is a good diy somewhere around here using club soda etc. The filters get cleaned to new but its the re-oiling that I don't like. Most of the times there are spots which are unevenly oiled and even factory oiled filters have given me problems with sensors in other cars. Apex makes a good dry filter, believe they cost around 25 and last quiet a while. KNN will give you better sound though.

Yeah stillen tube doesn't come with couplers. Its easy to use the stock ones though. so your good to go.
