Quaife Differential Coming For The G35

Having been one of the people affected by Infiniti's decision to yank the VLSD out of their Performance Tire & Wheel Package, I thought I would get in touch with the folks at Quaife Engineering, who make some of the premier differentials on the market. I sent them the following e-mail.........

Hello,

Any plans on making a differential for the Infiniti G35 coupe? Infiniti
has reduced the number of its cars that it puts its VLSD in starting with the current '05 model year, so more G35 owners are going to be looking for aftermarket solutions. Hope you will consider it!

Thank You,
Rob

I got back the following response from them -

Rob,
Thank you for your interest. We are indeed currently working on a differential for the G35/350z platform. We are still in the design phase, so we do not expect anything until this spring. Please check back with us for updates.

So for those of us who got left empty handed in the differential department, we will soon have the option of having a Quaife differential available for our cars. This differential is superior to the VLSD Infiniti uses anyway. They cost about $1,300 (not including install) but would be well worth it IMHO. You can read more about Quaife differentials at their website -

Sucks to hear about the '05s not having the VLSD but the gear diff of the Quaife is superior in design when compared to stock.
