some newie questions about '05 coupe

I just picked up a '05 coupe automatic. i'm currently at 400 miles and pretty much following the break in procedure in the manual (it's been over 6k a few times for short bursts). anyway, i searched and came to the conclusion that mileage and power will increase as the engine breaks in...

how long does this take? am i currently getting full power out of my car, or does it take a few thousand miles?

i wouldn't describe it as slow by any means, just different than my last car... i'm coming from spending a few years in the world of wrx's. mine had upgraded fuel, turbo, exhaust, etc... and made well over 300hp at the crank. i understand that the G is heavier, and 280hp. out of curiosity, i timed a 0-60 run and hit around 6.8 sec. is this going to get quicker as time goes on?

As the engine break in period hits 1200 miles you will notice a difference, at least I did. There has been a long discussion about the break in period and how to do it. I followed Infiniti's method and didn't go over 4K (or 4.5K?) RPM's. Some people have said if you go above that it will actually make you loose power once the engine is broke in. Again it was a long discussion and I'm giving you the very quick version of it.

Sounds like a very loose usage of "pretty much."
