Do i need a new clutch?

I bought my 2004 g35 coupe 6mt and it had 80k....im not sure when the previous owner replaced his clutch or if he even replaced it at all. This is my first time driving a manual so im not very familar with the clutch system and what not. How do i know when the clutch needs to be replaced?

If you do a high RPM, WOT pull does the pedal get a spongy/springy feeling afterward? IMO That's how you can tell when a clutch is in the early stages of wearing out. Shortly after that it will begin to slip causing the drivetrain speed to be out of synch with RPMs.
