Here to report cracks, saw cracks in the exact same spots on a buddy's G as well.

 

I found a class action suite that is going on for the cracked dash issue: http://www.girardgibbs.com/nissan-me...board-lawsuit/, right now its only for Florida, but hopefully that can expand it to other states.

 

Unfortunately that doesn't include older G35's before 2006. The list on there covers 2006-08 G35 only so we are out of luck.

The suit also states that the dash gets "shiny", melts and gets sticky, but does not mention cracking. Just putting that info out there since it doesn't cover our cracked dash.

I looked at a g37 coupe 08 with cracks all over the dash. I passed on it

 

Mine actually went through all of the phases, it started with a chemical odor, then shiny which at 1st thought was because of the vinyl conditioner, then sticky, I had paper towel lint stick to the dash while cleaning, and then the dash cracking. It's not shiny any more since I stopped cleaning the dash. My car is an 06 mostly garage kept with only 55,000 miles. I did a search for other manufacturers and it seems to be a common issue with car models from 2000 to 2010. I think it's from materials supplier they were using.

 

Toyota recently did a recall on their dashes I believe

 

I didn't know the G37 had the problem.

 

i tried to report. the number supplied in the article is not working. nor does "the form" to fill out exist on the page either.

ive had my car for alittle more than 2 years. i bought the car with 9000 miles (now 47K), the dash was like new. now i have two horizontal hairline cracks starting to show where the airbag is. this car is kept in a garage for most of the day (work day) and UV protectant wipes were used regularly(meguiars).
i thought it was just a fluke with me. guess not.

We probably need to call them to expand the suit to a larger section of years.

With just a beautiful and expensive car, why can't Infiniti help us and fix the problem. I don't know if it is happening with models before 2006, but from what I have seen and heard is all models from 2006 + . I have seen a G 37 2011. The guy keeps the can in mint condition, but his dash has cracks as if someone took a razor and made some strips in it. For us to replace a dash will runs us about $2k, but if Infiniti do a recall it will cost them pennies, why do we have to support Infiniti by purchasing their product and they cannot be obligated to us.

I have a 2006 G35 Sedan AT that is also having cracked dash issues. It has always been in a garage or under cover while at home and in a covered parking garage while at work. I included a pic of my headlight lens just as proof of little sunlight exposure.
