I use PIAA white/white LED lights in the clearance strip. The lens makes it have a bluish tinge even though the LEDs are white, which goes with the Caribbean Blue color of my Coupe. The clearance strip takes a 168 "wedge" lamp otherwise (exactly the same as what the clear corners take).

You may want to try the PIAA Ion yellow wedge lights on this page:

I like PIAA LED's they look great. No you don't need any conversion, the LEDs have already been mounted on a standard 168/194 bulb, so you can just plug it in.

Yep, the PIAA LED's plug right in just like the regular wedge lights do. LED's have polarity, so if it doesn't turn on, just remove and reinstall it the other direction.

Is LED brighter than cystal ion blub? I actually want to use cystal ion to standout, but i don't know if it looks bad.

You'll just have to try it and see how it looks. I was going for a bluish look so I can't say how they yellow lights will look. The crystal ion will be brighter than the LED's. Those PIAA 168 wedge lights are really bright. For example, I replaced the instrument panel lights in my 14-year old '91 300ZX with PIAA Extreme White 168 wedge lights and it made an incredible difference- the instument panel now looks NEW!

You have to get inside the front wheel liner, but you can do it without having to take the front wheels off. It's easier if you lift the car.

The LEDs are brighter than the halogen but the LED is more of a narrow beam pattern. If you want yellow, you have to go with the halogen, if you want white or blue, LED is the way to go. You can get some no name brand LED colored ones on eBay, etc, but the quality isn't as good. I tried to be cheap as use generic LED bulbs for my other car, but they would stop working after a couple weeks. I got the PIAA's and they've been good for like 2yrs already and still going.

Wait...Is the PIAA white/white LED blue? Is that noticeable? I don't want to get a ticket for that.
