No, the lights are not blue at all, you won't get a ticket. The bulbs have 2 LEDs in them, PIAA makes 3 kinds, white/white, white/blue and blue/blue. The white/white is pure white. Here are some pics of them on my MR2:

As stated above, the white/white LEDs are white. But the lens of the clearance strip and clear corners causes the strip to look slightly bluish with them in there. It looks very nice on my Caribbean Blue coupe. The white/white LEDs make the clear corners have a "hot spot" which some people don't like, but I like it because if you look straight at the clear corners it looks kind of like a laser beam is pointing at you and it seems kind of menacing. I tried the white/blue LEDs in the clear corners and they were way too blue and probably would have gotten me a ticket sooner or later, but you shouldn't have anything to worry about with the white/white LEDs. You can get the LEDs from Import Performance Warehouse or other places.

I installed them in this morning. They ain't as bright as I expected. Pretty much the same as the orginal blub, except it's a white/blue. Is there other brighter blub?

My next mod: foglight blubs or z tube or K&N filter ?

I think it looks nice, it looks like a clean white rather than the yellowish stock halogen light.
