New Here. Looking for advice
Hey guys, this is my first time posting here, so sorry if I'm in the wrong section. Right now I have a 01 mustang gt. Love the car to death, but with 14 mpg, and my monthly drive from LA to SF, its costing too much so I'm thinking of moving into a G35 coupe. Somewhere between 05-07.
I've been researching a lot on this car, and seems like every loves them. But I was just wondering if there was anything you didn't like about the car? The only thing I've heard was tire and brake wear. Which isn't a big deal to me since I have the same problem in my mustang.
Thanks Guys, I appreciate any and all opinions you may have.

For me, my tire and brake wear is about the same as any other car I've owned. I drive like a grandma for the most part though.

If you drive aggressively and use summer performance tires with a softer rubber compound, than your tires will wear out relatively fast. This is no different than other sports cars, though.
All this being said, the G is large and heavy, and chugs through gas. If fuel consumption is a problem for you, why not get a smaller, lighter sports car? Just a thought.

03-05 model G's reportedly have issues with brake wear, with the pads and rotors needing replacement more often than normal. '06 and later models are free of this problem.

I get what your saying. I just dont want to lose much speed. Since the G will keep up to my stang. Not sure if it's true, I've heard of 07's getting 500 miles to a tank. Which is amazing compared to my 180 miles to my 16 gallon tank.

I get phenomenal gas mileage but, NO, never have I ever heard of anyone here getting 500 miles per tank. I get about 360, but I drive like an old grandma.

~330/tank for me. 60%city/40%highway, with freeway speeds of ~70mph.
'07 Gs = 500mi/tank? I highly doubt it. If the slight improvement in mpg doesn't bother you then we look forward to you being a proud G owner.
I'm gonna get flamed for this, but ya know, you could take that money and buy a Civic, throw a K20 setup in there, and you'll have your speed and gas sippin' lol.
