I was supercharged for 4 years.
Original trans was out within the first year. Upgraded to a brand new trans with SGP valvebody. It lasted the last 3 years of the ProCharger and still kicks *** a year later.
I would recommend a supercharger if you are even slightly budgeting this. They don't produce as much torque as turbos and the power curve is more of a strong NA rather than the sudden shock of a turbo. (high torque and surge of power are two things that will wear the AT quicker).
I had tons of fun talking on my cell phone, eating a burger and whooping corvettes on the weekends.

I think he's being sarcastic... but while we're on the topic...
Who would turbo an automatic?
Great thing about a turbo automatic is boost doesn't drop as much during shifts. You just keep your foot planted while the 6MT has to let off (or...should... lol). 6MT get a sequential, then come talk back.

Since you already know how to drive stick, I'd say it's not worth it for YOU to boost an auto G. You'll end up spending a bunch of money on the car, and may end up wishing it was a stick in the long run. If you want to create a Picasso, make sure you start with the right canvas.
If you are completely 100% all set and done-for-life with driving stick, then I guess it might be worth it to boost your auto G(assuming you have the cash to throw at the project just for fun), but if not... I wouldn't do it.

well thanks for the advice guys I actually got a chance to drive a turbo automatic this weekend and it was great but still not the feel of the 6MT shifting when you want to and feeling the turbo spooling in lower gears. I dont think it'd be worth a trasmission swap since my budget is about 6K I'm just afraid once I get going I wont stop lol
