Boosted auto here- it can be annoying, but it is still more fun than non boosted. I have no VB mods- but have better grounding to the tranny.

I have the 5at and have probably been boosted one way or another for longer then almost everyone here.A must is the Transgo vb mod and a large trans cooler and a tc would be optional.

The benefits to a turbo auto:
brake boost/brake torque - when launching you can load up the entire driveline and there is not as much shock as if you were to dump the clutch on a manual transmission.
Boost doesn't drop much while shifting.

Since you already know how to drive stick, I'd say it's not worth it for YOU to boost an auto G. You'll end up spending a bunch of money on the car, and may end up wishing it was a stick in the long run. If you want to create a Picasso, make sure you start with the right canvas.

If you are completely 100% all set and done-for-life with driving stick, then I guess it might be worth it to boost your auto G(assuming you have the cash to throw at the project just for fun), but if not... I wouldn't do it.

Just because you know how to drive a manual car does not mean you can't have fun in a turboed auto! I had a manual 05 altima SE-R and will likely turbo my auto G35 at some point.

well thanks for the advice guys I actually got a chance to drive a turbo automatic this weekend and it was great but still not the feel of the 6MT shifting when you want to and feeling the turbo spooling in lower gears. I dont think it'd be worth a trasmission swap since my budget is about 6K I'm just afraid once I get going I wont stop lol

$6K is a very small budget for FI, Vortech is really your only option then.

That's definitely too small of a budget to do FI right on our cars. I think most people are in their cars for around $9-12K to do it right from beginning to end, assuming they pay to have all the work done and don't do some themselves.
