Motordyne TDX 2 w/o ART Pipes?

Hey all

Looking to get one of these exhausts for my car however, I dont really want to go with the ART pipes as I will need to pass smog in CA soon. I notice that 99% of people who buy this exhaust also get the ART pipes, however I was wondering if there were any sound clips people have uploaded of just the exhaust without the ART's? Also would any of the hp/trq gains from the exhaust be negated without the pipes, I plan to keep my stock cats?

Thanks!

First half of my video is the Shockwave V2 TDX with F.I. HFC's, second half is with the ART pipes. You'll gain about 10 whp/tq with the exhaust alone.

Where you at in Cali? If you're local in So Cal, I have the TDX v2 with stock cats - and be more than willing to show it to you so you can get a real life idea of the exhaust. Message me if you'd like.

Meeting Fab, above me, and hearing his exhaust in person was actually the one who sold me on the TDX v2 as opposed to MD's original true dual.

Would keeping the cats and getting the exhaust require a tune? Or is that only when you start playing with/removing the cats?

tune is only necessary after you have all your bolt ons done - spacer, intake, exhaust, hfc/test pipes, etc. exhaust itself doesn't warrant a tune.
