AMS coilovers? Worth it?

I've been wanting to lower my car for a while. I have an '06 Liquid Platinum coupe which has only been re-badged to Nissan with the emblems and center caps. I'm posting this because I'm a married college student on a budget. I noticed these:

currently priced at $699 and was curious as to whether they would be worth it or not for someone who eventually will upgrade for more function out of his car but wants to settle for form for the next two years or more.

So what do you guys think? I just want to much lower than stock and would prefer to have some ride quality as well (and I don't want springs). One of my friends has HKS coilovers and he says that factory 6MT coupe ones were much bouncier than aftermarket ones. I know that HKS would easily be better than these cheap ones, but still. Any opinions are much appreciated. Thanks.
