So I started a progression thread for my 04 coupe. came a long way in a short time, but then i got into a fender bender and got a great deal on a buddy of mines 05 DG coupe and here is my new progression. Again moving kinda fast.

October '11 I got my new baby.



Came with a few nice mods:
Akebono BBK
Tokico Dspec Shocks
Tein Lowering springs
Short throw shifter
VIS invader CF hood
Strafespeed CF trunk
Stillen front bumper
Emblemless grill
Helix Test Pipes
Kinetix SSV intake manifold
a busted rear bumper and broken stock exhaust.

I quickly got to work getting a AAM 3" exhaust and Chargespeed rear mounted and painted, and painted trunk

then I got work taking the suspension off my old car: SPC rear camber arms, sway bars, coilovers, and removed my Ark Grip exhaust (which i later swapped in for the AAM).




then swapped the Tokicos for my greddy coilovers






then got some painted 19"rays. and wanted to swap hoods: traded Vis invader hood for stock hood plus other goods. how it looked mid january: with hood swap, coilovers installed (winter height), and 19" rays.

I didnt like the short shifter, and I had a Pioneer head unit in the old car... so I put headunit in the new car. and swapped back in the stock shifter for the short throw.








Also forgot to mention I put on my strut tower brace and put in my K&N drop in filter.

haha that was my thoughts exactly. I picked up a used nismo to put on, put the paint was off by more than i was comfortable with in the mean time the Stillen grew on me. So its still on.

 

then i needed some wheels for the new season lol and i loved my xxrs so i bought them again!






couldnt clear my BBK in the back so I had to run spacers. 7mm (had more poke then i wanted) so i ordered 3mm spacers.

Then I upgraded to some custom projector headlights with tsx projector mod.


and as it sits with a fresh wash (taken a week ago, still had 7mm spacers on the rear.)





coming soon! Lowering the car for the spring, new tires for the front (more stretch) and throwing on those7mm spacers to see how flush we can get!


also forgot to mention I got a stillen intake

 

Loving the purple calipers and matching lugs. Been contiplating doing my brembos the same

DO IT!!! I had brembos on my old car with the same wheels... had Gold Muteki lugs, it made them pop! But spring for extended ones. I had the closed ended ones first time around and they didnt do as much to make the brakes stand out like my extended ones do

 

I don't like how the exhaust tips point to the side... never liked that look. Other than that, your ride looks pretty sweet. I would put complete black corner lights instead of the tinted amber ones you have.

 

that pic from the rear is actually with the AAM exhaust... i have the Ark Grip on now and it sits straight (see below picture). either way i was indifferent lol.

I ordered clear corners the other day bc i lost my driver side amber when i whacked a pot hole

what size of tires are running up front and rear? in the last rear pic are you running the 7mm or 3mm spacer? how low are you dropped with your xxrs right now?
