Phoenix Gold has implied thay have something similar in the pipeline . Hopefully there will be other choices too of quality pieces that that do this LOC. I like my stealth look but hate knowing I am paying for it with the stock BLose sound quality. I noticed today that the SVC still works with just the HU and it is the only original audio piece left. I am not sure if the Blose eq curve is in the HU also but would guess it is.

Mark

PS if someone could point me to the custom corner 10" coupe enclosure that I was told was on this forum I would appreciate that also

How's it going Mark? It's good to see you around.

There are two people who make sub boxes. They are

DREWER

4040

You might try sending them a pm.

I played with it at CES I think it's gonna be a cool piece. If I didn't have my kenwood already I'd buy it.

Basically, this processor takes our current "processed" signal, reprocesses it with its own DSP, and then puts out this newly processed sound....

Regardless of how you think this piece will perform, this is by no means a clean signal. All it is is a highly processed signal, which will still fall short of what you could do with a quality aftermarket headunit, except this unit will cost just as much to purchase i'm sure.

Before people get too excited about this product, think about exactly what it does and how JL may have worded that tech page to make it sound a little more sophisticated than it really is.

This may very well end up being the best LOC on the market, but no LOC can compare to a quality aftermarket headunit.

thats exactly how i see it. what is there that is better? I want a complete stealth look, highest SQ available, the ability to replace my origianal equipment. I have the Sat radio and want the display to work....

Currently I am using a Venn4, do you think this will be an impovement?

I don't dissagree that an aftermarket would be better but I would guess you have seen our dash

I don't believe it will work as good as a high quality aftermarket unit. That being said, it will most likely be better than passing the Bose processed signal to aftermarket amps and speakers. I do not consider this a competition level piece, however, in my mind and opinion, a piece like this is designed for people who do not want to tear up or modify their stock dash to have better sound (or don't want to change the stock appearance). A lot of us have no problem ripping apart our cars for whatever reasons, however, doing so invariably reduces resale value if you are not able to restore the vehicle to stock condition (not just stock appearing). This may be a good piece for these people IF the unit delivers and is not unreasonably priced.

I wouldn't put all my plans on hold for this piece. If anyone was planning to use a typical LOC in there setup i would go ahead and do that. If this piece is seriously that much better, which i doubt, then you can always add it later. Otherwise, just get an EQ and you'll be good to go.

Don't let their marketing department suck you in...not yet at least.
