Vandalized

Well my nightmare has come alive.. after almost 2 years of no damage, my poor baby now sustaines damage on her right door after some ruthless idiot decided to vandalize her. At first i thought it was a hir and run, but after further inspection i came to the conclusion that it was an act of vandalism. The dents and scrapes vary in size and depth. Here are some pix of my damaged door. I hope karma comes full circle to whoever did this..The part that pisses me off the most is that I spend countless hours detailing this car and being very meticiulous, and out of nowhere this kind of thing happens. I put some touch up paint on the scrapes where bare metal is actually exposed so that it does not rust during these rains. Here are pix of the scrapes

damn that really sucks. What would cause such damage, was there any broken botles near by or a rake maybe a garden weasle? Did you call the police?
Good luck getting it fixed

I actually didnt notice it till Friday. It's been raining all week so I didn't notice it, and I don't drive the car during the week so I couldnt do any observations.

That's horrible but yeah call the police and your insurance to see what to do about it. I'm sorry this happend. I've had a hit and run on my G. Nothings worse then coming out to your car and seeing damage. I got a question though, did they throw dirt on your car too or what? How come it's so dirty??

I guarantee you, something nasty just got kicked up and smacked your car. I really cant see how all those chips can be done by hand, plus the chips look like something came apart near the side of the car and chipped it all the way back. Something like that happened to me and I didnt notice it for a couple days because my car was soaked the whole time from rain.

Yea, My initial thought was that it was either a hit and run, or I hit something on the freeway during the storm, or it was vandalized by some kind of rock getting thrown at it or something. I cancelled out the first possibility because it just looks too imperfect, and I thought it might have been vandalized because I thought I'd be able to hear something hit my car if it made that much of an impact on the door to dent it and scrape it like that.

Damn....very sorry to see that. Caribbean Blue makes haters jealous. That looks like vandalism to me, or do you drive in reverse? Where was your car parked when this happened? I hope it can get repaired as good as new. I wish you the best from a fellow CB owner.

i hate anytime something happens to my car and it's 10 years old. i'm sorry that vandalism was done to your car. it's just not right. we work hard to buy thing things that we like and it's entirely too easy for someone to come along and ruin it.

true. gspotter, i really dont think it was damage done by hitting somethine while driving because looking at the damage, i would have to drive in reverse to have the damage inflicted the way it was.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear about this. To me it looks like it wasn't an act of vandalism as well, just something mother nature did. If you think about it, why would someone make 2 dents, one right above the other and then proceed to make little chips.

My wildest guess is a branch with two oval ends smacked into the car and then dragged across to make the chips/scrapes. Who know's what happened with this past $hitty weather...

It looks like some kids went nuts with white paint and some screwdrivers or something similar. Whatever happened, I wish him the best in getting a great repair.

It hurst to see another G in that condition. If it was just the dents, then go for pdr, but you have some serious paint damage. Give your insurance company a call and file a comprehensive claim so you could get that fixed and repainted. Either way, good luck on it.
