Got a call from the dealership yesterday who had some great news. My car is FINALLY built and I got my VIN#. For all you other F'ers out there, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Placed my order in January, got my "F" order in March, and now I have my VIN#..and we all know what comes next. Anyways, thought I'd share my good news.

You should have your ride in 3-4 weeks. IMO these are the hardest weeks to pass by. I just checked my dealer inventory online everyday, when it finally showed up my car was at the dealer the next day.

Yeah..that's what I've heard, about 3-4 weeks from the day they release the VIN#. I will be in Cancun for the majority of May so hopefully the time will pass quickly and "she" will be here waiting for me upon my return.

Man this sucks. I have a "C" order and I still haven't even got my VIN# yet. My dealer is really starting to **** me off....

Are you serious? I thought I read over on freshalloy that the F order vin's are coming in. Have you tried talking with the sales manager?

Oh baby that means mine should be comming in soon, well my VIN anyway. Now lets see how long I can hold out from calling the dealer to see if they got it. I give myself a few days but that could turn into minutes very quickly gotta go make a call!! lata

 

Oh believe me I will definitely be getting some mileage out of this one. I ordered the car on Jan. 5 and it looks like it won't be here till mid May. This wouldn't be that outrageous (other people have waited much longer) except for the fact that up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago, my saleswoman assured me that it would still be on time (late April). I'm gonna try to get a free car cover out of the deal at least.

Mine was supposed to be in the end of last week. I drove up to the dealer yesterday only to have him tell me that now its not due until the end of May. I was a little dismayed. Especially since I'd driven over an hour to get there. I knew it wasn't going to be in, but i just sold my car today and he was going to give me a loaner until mine arrived. Now that its a month I can't get a loaner and have to spend $700 to rent one. He said he'd give me all free oil changes (which he said cost $58 with the synthetic oil). Also when I told him that since he wasn't giving me a loaner and I thus didn't have a way home (my dad was driving on out of town from there) he immediately said that he'd drive me 70miles back to my house. I was pretty impressed with that atleast. You don't get that from the Honda sales guy.
