Looking to buy a G35:
I know you all probably see this thread too many times, but here is another one (lol)
I am looking to buy my first G. Im looking between 2006 and 2007.
In florida, prices arent as forgiving as other parts of the country. So, I am looking at a 2006 G35 Sport w/ navi (automatic) - 42,000 miles for $22,000 before negotiations
or a
2007 G35 Sport 6MT w/ navi - 56,000 miles for $24,000 before negotiations
Question is: I read that some issues turn up right around the 50-60k mile range... Is there any way to check for these issues before buying it? Also, what do you think about the prices?
I would LOVE to have the 6MT but i've read about tranny issues with the manual. Would it be wiser to go with an automatic and avoid these problems?
Thanks guys/gals

Is there anything other than OC I should expect with the miliage listed? Also, it seems the 6MT needs a clutch replaced with relatively low miles from the posts I've read on here, what's the average miliage on a 6MT before any type of tranny problems?
I'm also in search of a used G. Probably 05-07 coupe with 6MT. I've read about the OC problems with both the G's and the Nissan 350Zs and I'm a little concerned about that. I've read around the forum and, unfortunately for me, it seems like the OC problems occur in the 05-07 G coupe models, which is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll probably be buying from a private seller, unless a dealer has a decent price that I can't refuse. Is there any way for me to check to see if the car has OC issues or am I just at the mercy of the seller and hope they're not lying to me?
